Tom Sawyer Island

Why It's Our Favorite Ride

My favorite ride in Disney has to be Tom Sawyer Island. It’s not a traditional ride, but it’s an adventure all on its own. The island is filled with caves, bridges, and trails to explore, and it’s the perfect escape from the crowds of the Magic Kingdom. My tip would be to go early in the morning or later in the evening when the wait times are low, and keep an eye out for hidden Mickeys along the way. It’s the perfect way to immerse yourself in nature and have a little bit of fun exploring.

What to Eat

If you’re looking for a snack to enjoy before or after your adventure on Tom Sawyer Island, head over to Aunt Polly’s on the nearby Frontierland. This quick-service restaurant offers classic American fare like sandwiches, salads, and desserts, all with a rustic charm that fits perfectly with the theme of the island. Try the turkey and Swiss sandwich or the BBQ pulled pork sandwich for a hearty meal, or grab a chocolate chip cookie or brownie for a sweet treat. And if you’re lucky, you might even be able to snag a table on the outdoor deck with a view of the river and the island.
